HEADLESS CROSS

Headless Cross is a single release by British heavy rock/ metal act Black Sabbath which was released in connection with the release of their fourteenth full-length studio album Headless Cross (1989). The single contains two songs. The first is the song Headless Cross in a 5:00 minute long edited version. The original version is 6:15 minutes long. Edited versions of songs are seldom a success IMO and it´s no exception here. Why not just chose a shorter song from the album for a single release? The second song is the bonus track from some CD versions of the Headless Cross album. This song is only interesting if you don´t have one of those CD versions. If you already got a CD version with the bonus track this single release is pretty useless. The songs are still good of course but the idea to release this single is not and I can only give a 2 star rating. For collectors only.
