A NICE PAIR

A nice pair is a nice pair indeed. To tell you the truth, I'm not a big fan Pink Floyd from the seventies; they're good band, but "something's missing" for me. However, I love the first period of band's creativity, and indeed "Piper At The Gates Of Down" and "A Saucerful Of Secrets" are a logical pair, couple, unit, no matter if Syd was a brainchild of one and not of the other.

Having that said, this is a great piece of music and beautiful presentation of what Floyds had to say about the whole British psychedelia movement. It's perhaps a bit redundant issue ("Relics" compilation is great too) but it's far from obsolete. It's recommended for newbies, not the Pink Floyd newbies but the newbies of psychedelic music. A whole new, distorted world to discover.
