HEX

Marked by freshly-born label of “Post-Rock”, BPs lost their possible role of genre’s headliners. All deserved flowers were sent to MOGWAI, GYBE! and SIGUR ROS, while BPs been tried to create another “Hex”. Actually, this is neither brilliant nor awful album. It repeats TALK TALK “Spirit of Eden” formula, but with some innovations (alternative rock shades etc). Nothing completely groundbreaking (since 1988), but enjoyable and mellow journey thru soundscapes and half-hidden voices. Recommended if you’re a genre’s fan...and even if you're not. My review is somewhat cold, so let the rating speak for me - 3.5 rounded to 4
