THE DOORS

One of the essential albums of psychedelic era and one of the best debuts ever. Includes two high spots: a lengthy version of "Light My Fire" with wonderful extended organ/guitar jam and the notorious Morrisons lyrical tour de force - "The End" (I guess everyone knows this track from the Oscar winning soundtrack movie "Apocalypse Now"). But all other songs are nearly as good, with probable sub-standard exceptions of "Twentieth Century Fox" and "I Looked At You". Still, altough I wouldn't call it a masterpiece it surely comes close to the one - 4,5
