Side 1 gets three stars as the two Home By the Sea tracks do remind you of Duke and their earlier works, but do not get your hopes too high , it is only hinted at with lenghty instrumental passages. It is of course a bit cruel for them to remind us if it , since the other vinyl side is not anymore worthy than Invisible Touch or Abacrap. The opening track and monster hit Mama however is completely unexpected and unlikely pleasant as is the short track That's All supposedly based on the Beatles's Rocky Rackoon. But side 2 is just as bad as ABACAB so just one star for an average of two stars for the whole album. Potentially the most irritant Genesis track ever is Illegal aliens and its horrendous MTV videoclip. This album is also reffered to as "Shapes"can hold some interest to fans but they would have to be confirmed fans. Progressive contents are around 15% (IMHO) but higher than any other 80's & 90's Genesis album past Duke.
