Arcane Atlas biography
In Autumn 2010, teenagers Drew Brown, Destin Frost, and Eric Bezner started exploring their musical talents in a suburban Nashville attic. Influenced by the artistic musings and vibrant tones of progressive rock pioneers, they started experimenting with their own melodies, riffs, and lyrics. The flurry of ideas that filled their attic rehearsal space marked the beginning of their musical journey as Arcane Atlas.

Employing the talents of fellow musician, producer, and mixing engineer Marcus Wanner, Arcane Atlas released "Constellation Plus" on August 11, 2014. Distribution of their debut album would come a few months later with the help of French-based publisher Musea Records.

Shortly after, Eric Bezner decided to leave the band in 2015. Si Deane filled the role, offering more aggressive and commanding guitar solos and riffs. After months of gigging, writing, and recording, the new lineup released "Metris" on February 16, 2016, a much darker album drawing on more hard-rock stylings while still maintaining hallmarks from the early years of progressive rock, like lengthy epics, instrumentals, and a prominence of synthesizers.

The band was put on hold due to members pursuing other creative interests and relocating to different cities. Nevertheless, Destin and Drew maintained their passion for progressive rock in a new way. They launched the Prog Notes podcast, where they review prog rock albums and interview both emerging and established bands.

In 2023, Destin and Drew reunited with Marcus to revisit their debut album's material. With a matured approach to songwriting, a decade of experience, and access to more equipment, they improved the tracks but kept the original's heart and essence. They re-released "Constellation Plus" on August 11, 2024, marking the record's ten-year anniversary. The band hopes to continue writing and recording, connecting with those who choose to enter into their sonic world.
