Velocirapture biography
Founded in early 2014, VELOCIRAPTURE is a Gainseville, Florida based instrumental progressive metal act that incorperates influences of jazz and even utilizes the trumpet into their overall sound. Having played shows with bands such as ANIMALS AS LEADERS and CHON, this act creates soundscapes that range from mellow and soothing to chaotic math-metal levels of difficulty. Their first album, ''Paleogene'', was released in January of 2015. The current roster includes Travis BLANKENSHIP and Alejandro ELLIS on guitars, Justin STIRRAT on drums, James BOWEN on bass, and Jesse FLEMMING on keyboards and trumpet.
