The Evenfall biography
THE EVENFALL are a progressive metal band from Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2008, Gonzalo QUINTELA contacted Juan Martin MOSCOSO in the hope that they could start a progressive metal project, since they had the same musical influences. After a few auditions, Federico GIL, who played in MAGO DEL TRUENO at the time, was added as a bassist. The drums were in charge of Hernan SCHOR, friend of QUINTELA and MOSCOSO. Finally, to complete the first formation, Ignacio PAEZ was called to cover vocals and growls. After a few trial rehearsals they started playing some songs created by QUINTELA, alternated with OPETH, and DREAM THEATER covers, among others.

In early 2009, the band began to play small gigs, mostly around Buenos Aires, and they also started recording their first EP. It was at then that SCHOR left the band to continue his carrer with the producer PICHON DAL PONT. He was replaced by Francisco PAWLUSZEK right away. By the second half of 2010, they released a self titled EP that included four tracks, which they presented live at the end of the year.

Later on, Ignacio PAEZ left the band, so QUINTELA took on the lead vocals. They played a few more concerts, until Francisco PAWLUSZEK decided to continue his drumming career in the United States, at Berklee Musical School. After this, the band took a break of live performances, and started the preproduction of their first LP: ''The Waiting Room''. In January 2013 PAWLUSZEK flies back to Argentina to record the drums. During this and the following year, QUINTELA is in charge of the rest of the recordings and mixing.

On January 8th, 2015, ''The Waiting Room'' is officially released. It is a concept album with nine tracks that narrates the experiences of a troubled mind submerged into a sea of emotions and human relations. As of early 2015 the band line-up consists of Gonzalo QUINTELA (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Juan Martin MOSCOSO (Backing Vocals/Guitars), Federico GIL (Bass), Facundo VIDAL (Keyboard) and Francisco PAWLUSZEK (Drums).

The band cites influences from SPOCK'S BEARD, ENCHANT, OPETH, WOLVERINE, RIVERSIDE and GENESIS, among others.
