Emily Bezar biography
Emily BEZAR is an Californian musician and singer. Her musical education started with learning the classical piano and being inspired by a wide range of music like the BEATLES, Barbra STREISAND, EARTH WIND & FIRE, WEATHER REPORT and the CLASH. She began to study opera but was more attracted to electronic music at the time and in her early 20's she started composing songs in a studio that she put together. After returning from Switzerland she joined the art rock band THE POTATO EATERS and in 1993 released her debut solo album 'Grandmother's Tea Leaves'.

That album began a musical career spanning over 20 years and BEZAR expanded upon her initial piano oriented pieces to touch upon genres like jazz fusion, ambiental electronic music, progressive rock, rock opera and pop throughout the albums. Her albums are often conceptual and with operatic nature which can be recommended to fans of vocal jazz and art rock not much unlike Kate BUSH. Her last album up to this date, 'Fooled By Yesterday', features interpretations of jazz and classical music that influenced her throughout the career.
