Oceanborn biography
Based in Chicago, Illinois, OCEANBORN is a progressive metal act which also features aspects of alternative rock, jazz fusion and classical music within their compositions. Formed in 2010 by Christopher LEE (no, not the actor) on guitar, Dominick CAMILLO also on guitar and Lance FERRELL providing vocals, after solidifying their sound by playing some gigs in the midwestern US, they self-released an EP entitled ''The Descent EP'' under the moniker of TATTOO THE DEVIL. They then recruited new members Mario CAMILLO on bass and Chris KING on drums and changed their name to OCEANBORN. In 2013 the band released their first full length recording ''Hidden From The World'', a concept album in which a graphic novel pertaining to the record's storyline was also made available.

Currently the group are undergoing personnel changes, but remain active as a band. With influences ranging from DREAM THEATER to MUSE, OCEANBORN aim to combine traditional progressive metal with a modern twist.
