Stats biography
STATS are a progressive experimental metal band from Brooklyn USA, renamed after a 2006 US tour of the previous version of the band (STAY F*CKED, established in 2002 after the disbandment of SUPER LUCKY CATS). Since 2000, the duo of Joe PETRUCELLI (guitar, HEXA) and Hank SHTEAMER (drums, ex-AA) have seen through all the changes in the band and after the aforementioned tour recruited bassist Tony GEDRICH (EXTRA LIFE, ARCHAEOPTERYX). With this line-up, the trio released two EPs, in June 2009 and October 2010, entitled ''Marooned'' and ''Crowned'' respectively.

Self-described as 'prog punk' STATS certainly draw influences from the punk movement but also from math rock, reaching high-levels of experimentation and have been compared to acts such as KEELHAUL, DON CAB, DAZZLING KILLMENAND and BEHOLD... THE ARCTOPUS.
