Asidefromaday biography
ASIDEFROMADAY is a five-piece post-metal band from Besançon, France. The lineup consists of the drummer Julien LOIZEAU, guitarist Nicolas CHEVAILLER, vocalist Fred NIVARD, bassist David DEMESMAY and keyboardist Sebastien DESCAMPS.
The quintet was formed back in 2000, progressing their style from heavily hardcore and metal influenced material to the post metal sound of their later releases. Their debut album "Divine Propostion" was released in April 2005, followed by "Manufactured Landscape" in October 2009. ASIDEFROMADAY released their third album on Division Records called "Chasing Shadows" in October 2012, featuring what can probably be described as their heaviest and more intricate album to date.
The third album's 45 minutes running time features a wide array of sounds and emotions and is matched by solid production. The band describes the release as a "new level in post-metal/hardcore, combining efficiency, wideness and sweet complexity".
