Ixt Adux biography
IXT ADUX were an underground prog quartet that came out of Los Angeles in the early eighties. Their only album, ''Brainstorm'' (1982), was released on vinyl in a limited run of 1,000 copies on the private Madame X Record label. The album reveals itself as an imaginative work of intricate twin guitar activities that falls within the same sphere as KING CRIMSON and AUTOMATIC FINE TUNING, while its general quirkiness also brings a Frank ZAPPA influence to bear. In spite of its ropey sound quality ''Brainstorm'' has gained something of a cult status and a CD re-issue is long overdue.
