The Strange Death of Liberal England biography
UK band THE STRANGE DEATH OF LIBERAL ENGLAND was formed in 2005, and consisted of William Charlton (guitars, drums, vocals), Kelly Jones (bass, vocals), Andrew Summerly (drums, vocals), Adam Woolway (vocals, guitars) and Andrew Wright (glockenspiel, percussion, vocals). They released the EP "Stop/Go Happy/Sad Forward/Forward" the same year, followed by the mini album "Forward March!" in 2007. Three more years would go by before their official full length album debut "Drown Your Heart Again" appeared. In 2011 drummer Summerly left the band and was replaced by David Lindsay.

The Strange Death of Liberal England explored a variety of post rock liberally laced with indie rock, and they were compared just as much to the likes of Mogwai as to bands like Pixies and Arcadia Fire.
