Area 39 biography
UK band AREA 39 was originally formed back in 1995, but disbanded again before they really got going. But one of the members from back then, Ray Turrell, was given permission to use th band name for future projects, and in 2003 a new band was assembled, and their debut album "Stand Alone Together" was released in 2004.

Since then matters have been rather quiet, apart from a live band assembled in 2009 for some live dates the following year. A second album originally scheduled for a 2010 release were postponed, with tentative plans for a 2013 release.
