Cold Night for Alligators biography
COLD NIGHT FOR ALLIGATORS is a Danish technical progressive deathcore band formed in Roskilde in 2008 by guitarists Kristoffer JESSEN and Roar JAKONSEN, drummer Niklas SCHRØDER, and bassist Simon SILVA. In 2009, vocalist Hjalte BERTELSEN joined the lineup. In 2010, the band entered the studio to start work on their first EP, Ulterior Motives, which was released September of that year.
Soon after the release of their EP, the band won the award for Best Metal Act in the Danish Underground Music Awards of 2011. With the new award in hand, the band received a sharp increase in promotion and then started work on their second release. The EP, Singular Patterns, was released September of 2012.
The band takes heavy influence from esteemed progressive metal bands such as BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, THE FACELESS, and MESHUGGAH. The band is a must-have for fans of technical deathcore with a djent edge and heavy progressive inclinations.
