Jakob Juhkam biography
Jakob JUHKAM (born in April 6th, 1992, small Estonian town Häädemeeste) is an Estonian musician, composer and multi-instrumentalist. He's main instruments are piano and keyboards. From an early age Juhkam has provoked a big interest and excitement in Estonian listeners. First homerecordings were made in 2005 and he's been recording and composing his own material ever since.
Juhkam's early-age electronic experiments, a prog rock phase, and subsequent formal music education have merged into a sophisticated worldview. He counts Frank Zappa, John Zorn, Jim O Rourke, Trent Reznor, Mike Patton and Estonia's own Vaiko Eplik as his main musical influences.

Juhkams work ranges from symphonic pieces to film soundtracks, and was commissioned in 2012 to write music for Estonia's Independence Day concert, showcasing his talent to a diverse local audience. His debut album, "T", released in August 2012, met with critical acclaim and generated legions of fans. It was released by an indie label Mortimer Snerd Records.

He's formed and been in many bands: Mervenca, Jakob Juhkam quartet, Vaiko Eplik ja Eliit, Malcolm Lincoln

Currently Juhkam is living in capital city Tallinn and studying in Tallinn Music Academy.
