Squat Club biography
Hailing from Sydney in 2008, Australian band SQUAT CLUB was one of the most interesting acts to grace the realms of heavy progressive rock through a refreshing sense of power and a renewed sense of experimentalism. It had a very short life (the first break-up in early 2009, a reformation took place for a few months of 2010), but it was a band worth checking.

With a line-up of two guitarists (Tim Brown & Josh Ahearn), one drummer (Evan McGregor) and one bassist (Lampshade), SQUAT CLUB managed to create a kind of progressive rock that is both energetic and sonically rich. "Corvus", posthumously released in 2011 as the band's sole phonographic legacy, is an impressive proof that this music is something to pay serious attention to.
