Orphan Bloom biography
ORPHAN BLOOM is a heavy progressive rock band formed by guitarist and vocalist Saigopal NELATURI, vocalist and guitarist Alex KRESS, bassist Nathan WISWALL, and drummer Travis DRUMM in Madison, Wisconsin in August 2008. The band formed after meeting at University of Wisconsin at Madison and immediately began to jam and write music much in the vein of the likes of LED ZEPPELIN, THE MARS VOLTA, and TOOL. They soon gathered a reputation as an energetic and exciting live act, and in 2010 the band entered the studio for the first time. That same year they released their debut self-titled studio album to great acclaim. The album was heralded for good musicianship and an energetic performance. The band didn't take long to compose and record their second album, The Wary Traveler, which was released December 2011.


The band has a heavy, aggressive, brooding, haunting, and energetic style that meshes with a hard rock mindset and a progressive rock driveline. The band will appeal to fans of energetic heavy prog and hard rock, such as LED ZEPPELIN, THE MARS VOLTA, and THE FALL OF TROY.
