ALASKAN is an atmospheric post-metal band from Ontario, Canada. The band features members of THE VANISHING ACT, WHALE CRY, ELEPHANTOMS, MOTIVATOR & THE WISHLIST. In 2010 they released the debut EP 'The Weak and the Wounded', in 2011 the full-length 'Adversity; Woe', which was followed by a tour with BLACK BREATH. The band specializes in crushing heaviness and gut wrenching yells that may be an acquired taste for lovers of less aggressive forms of post-metal. Fans of CULT OF LUNA however are seriously advised to check this band out.
