Khemeïa biography
KHEMEÏA is a French experimental metal band formed in 2002 in Fleurance in the French Pyrenees. The main source of inspiration outside of the metal realm is the French Zeuhl band MAGMA. The vocals have a similar outworldly feel due to the use of world music vocal traditions, mainly from India, Pakistan and Mongolia. All of this gets mixed in with gutteral metal vocals and alternative metal influences are from bands such as TOOL, SEPULTURA, SYSTEM OF A DOWN.
After 2 Eps, ''Khemeïa'' in 2002 and ''Sok'' in 2004, the band released their debut full-length ''Melhadenso'' in 2007.
