Killington Fall biography
KILLINGTON FALL are a new post rock band hailing from South-West London (UK) and consisting of a traditional quartet of drums, bass and guitar duo. In their short history, the band has concentrated on playing live and has released in 2010 one EP as both a free download and a beautiful digipack. A new EP is set for release in September 2011, with the music recorded in a 12th century abbey in France.
The music of KILLINGTON FALL beautifully mixes delicate guitar playing with explosive moments that put the rhythm section to a heavy use. The band never goes into long developments of the musical form, preferring brevity and effective ideas inside a shorter song length. Some harsch vocals appear in the background, hinting to a possible relation with the hardcore scene. Although these musical ideas are classic themes of post rock, KILLINGTON FALL manages to come with a strong melancholy-inducing sound and gripping cathartic moments.
