From Denmark comes this exciting instrumental quartet (or mostly instrumental) named OBSTACLES, which was formed in 2007: you can interpret the band?s name as a manifestation of sonic defiance that aims at tearing apart any obstacle intended to stop the musicians from developing 100% of their energy and skill. Math-rock is the basic style upon which OBSTACLES builds its progressive vision for the current experimental rock scene, but the band?s sound gathers enough eclectic potential as to include abundant shades of technical metal, space-rock, Crimsonian post-?Thrak? patterns and heavy-oriented psychedelia.
