Insider biography
INSIDER are from Pescara/Italy and formed in 1991 as a trio. Marco and Piero Ranalli (guitar, synth, bass) are the founder/core members. The goal was to melt the different artistic experiences with former bands and to create a new and serious musical project. Their eponymous debut album was mixed by Paul Chain and released on Freak Out! featuring drummer Giuseppe Miccoli.

By and by the band developed an unique style made of proper space rock coupled with some doom, death and krautrock flavour. Miccoli left after the recording of the first CD but Eugenio Mucci joined for the next album 'Land Of Crystals' (1998) as a singer. The third album 'Jammin' For Smiling God' featuring singer Andrea Sestri is a cosmic excursion in its authentic meaning, a hallucinatory and hypnotic trip, lead with the wise use of wah wah, analog synths and space effects in a krautrock style. Recorded and mixed at the Stellar Madhouse Studios it has been published and distributed in 2000 by Italian Beard Of Stars Records.

The latest effort 'Simple Water Drops' has been recorded in collaboration with Eugenio Mucci (vocals) and Gregorio Angelucci (drums), more acid blues oriented with psych prog rock tones of the 1970. INSIDER's current line-up, including Stefano Di Rito on drums, is working on a new album.
