Primordial Undermind biography
PRIMORDIAL UNDERMIND started in 1988 when Connecticut situated Eric Arn (guitar) moved to California. After a short break with demo recordings in London he came back to form an experimental/psychedelic rock band with the policy of an open, collective membership, leading to numerous lineups over the years. The initial Los Angeles County team recorded several EPs and cassette productions from 1991 to 1995.

Supported by Brian Craft (guitar), Dave Stankoski (bass) and David Atkins (drums) the first full length album 'Yet More Wonders Of The Invisible World' appeared in 1994, released by German label September Gurls. 'You And Me And The Continuum' followed 1997 on the Australian label Camera Obscura. 1999 found the band having a major change. Moving to Austin, Texas they produced the next album 'Universe I've Got'.

PRIMORDIAL UNDERMIND underwent uncounted personal rotations furthermore. Another more stable lineup produced the fourth album 'Beings of Game P-U' for Camera Obscura in 2001 and two years later the next album 'Thin Shells of Revolution' came out on Austin's Emperor Jones followed by an eastern US tour together with ST37.

The end of 2004 saw another big change when Eric Arn went to Austria to settle in Vienna. A series of intensive recording sessions were conducted just before the move, refined into the latest band opus 'Loss of Affect' (2006). The band as such seem to have gone into hibernation but Eric Arn is still offering concerts in and around Austria on his own resp. together with several other experimental music projects.

PRIMORDIAL UNDERMIND are representing a facet of avant psych prog in the vein of The Vokocesh, F/I and Escapade. The albums are blending different improvisations, mainly featuring acid rock jams and trippy doomy impressions.
