ISLAND is a tech/extreme prog metal band originating from Germany. They were formed in 2003 as a 5-piece progressive death metal band. They are often noted for having a very atmospheric style. They have released one album Orakel, as well as 2 EP's. Their album Orakel is very impressive, and reminds me somewhat of Opeth or Edge of Sanity with a more atmospheric edge. Highly recommended to fans of the progressive death metal genre!
