Lyranthe biography
LYRANTHE is a progressive metal band from Seattle, Washington formed in late 1995 by Will Anderson (drums) that wanted to create music that was unique and challenging to play. After joining and leaving many bands he decided to create his own. In the beginning, he formed a band that composed six very diverse pieces, but was unable to solidify a vocalist. He moved to Seattle, WA in 2001 to work with a progressive rock band and in 2002, he left the band and reinvented LYRANTHE.

After long months of auditions he hired Primo Pulanco (guitar), Mike Lewin (guitar), and Rain DeLeon (bass) and self produced and released their debut album "Oculus Inferno" in October of 2003. Frans Keylard of The Dividing Line (who has his own weekly internet radio show) signed on as manager and promoter of LYRANTHE.

In 2004, the group signed a deal with Lone Wolf Music and their debut album was re-mixed by Shawn Bishop. The year also saw the departure of Walter, Mike and Rain. The duo of Will and Primo continued to write and arrange songs for their next album. The new members Chad Thomas (bass), Rob Benson (keyboards) and Peter Orullian (vocals) joined Will and Primo and worked hard preparing a new album and to support shows with STRATOVARIUS, THERION, and INTO ETERNITY. Chad left the band and Lizzy Daymont (bass) helped fill the remaining shows and helped arrange a few songs. They also supported SPOCK'S BEARD, CELLADOR and THE FLOWER KINGS.

Late in 2007, Primo Pulanco decided to leave the band.

With the band dissolved, Will Anderson has decided to complete the next LYRANTHE album his own. All the material has been written and intends to release the second album of LYRANTHE by December.
