we broke the weather biography
we broke the weather are a five-piece band based out of Sommerville, Massachusetts. They formed in 2018 out of basement jam sessions, fusing prog, fusion, psych, math, stoner, and other rock influences. Their first self-titled, self-released album came out in 2022. Their second album Restart Game came out in 2024 on Argonauta Records.

The band's influences range from the classic prog of bands such as King Crimson, Yes, and Rush to modern prog bands such as The Dear Hunter and Thank You Scientist, as well as psychedelic inflected artists such as King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard and Ty Segall.

Thematically, the band's songs tackle issues such as global warning, pandemics, and authoritarianism.
