Apokalypsis biography
Apokalypsis is a Brazilian progressive rock band founded by the musician "Zé Brasil" in 1974. The lineup consisted of the composer, drummer and vocalist with the pseudonym "Zé Brasil", the musician "Prandini" playing the guitar, sax and flute, "Tuca" playing the piano, and "Edu Parada" playing the bass. Then in 1975, "Tuca" leaves and is substituted by the musician Rafael Blóes, playing the piano.

The band has two phases: the seventies (1974-79) and the current one since 2005. In 1975 it was considered the revelation of "Rock Paulistano" and participated in all the emblematic events of those times. Apokalypsis was part of the Brazilian 70's prog groups along with O Terço, Som Nosso de Cada Dia, Terreno Baldio, Os Mutantes, etc. And at the end of 1975, they were recording their first LP when they dissolved.

Zé Brasil met Silvia Helena, they recorded a simple single and returned with Apokalypsis in 1977. In 1978 they went to London and in 1979 they played their farewell show in Woolwich. Then started recording the double compact Brazilian Wave released in 1980 by Natural Records in France and in 1981 in Spain, England and Brazil.

In December 2005, encouraged by young fans who rediscovered the band, a small edition of Cult/CD 1975 was released by Natural Records with a live show recorded by Pena Schmidt at Teatro Bandeirantes, which received a great response from the public and critics. From July 2006 onwards, Apokalypsis returned to performing live promoting the 70 Again Movement. Since then, he has released three more CDs: 70 de Novo (2007), 1974 (2009) and Cabelos Dourados (2012).
