Paskinel biography
The people behind PASKINEL are Patrick Paskinel DUFOUR, accompanied by Frédéric Tournerif CHAPUT, or 2/3 of the group ALCO FRISBASS. And as Fabrice CHOUETE takes part in the party on the first track of their debut album, "La danse des feux follets", it is the entire trio that works on this.

But make no mistake. This is not an ALCO FRISBASS album masked under another surname, but rather a creation by PASKINEL that has been matured and refined for a long time and of which Patrick DUFOUR composed the eight tracks. For all that, he had the support of many playmates. In addition to the two aforementioned, others come here and there to add bassoon, transverse flute, saxophone or violin. And then, on the introductory track, we can also hear the guitar and lapsteel of Franck DEHAUT, member of the tribute band AND YOU AND YES. Finally, the accompaniment is a sign of friendship for PASKINEL since in addition to the presence of his sidekick TOURNERIF on the mix, the mastering is the work of Thierry PAYSSAN of MINIMUM VITAL.

With this group, PASKINEL deploys his creativity and takes us into varied musical stories where the inventiveness and subtlety of the arrangements open up to reflection, simple contemplation and dreams. Indeed, the music offered can be rock, progressive and jazzy at the same time.

If the imprint of the Canterbury school is less marked than with Alco FRISBASS, it is not absent. What wins over the audience in this 'MARAUDE AUTOMNALE' is DUFOUR's art of theft, picking out influences and winks, such as this "Cristal qui songe" borrowed from the American science fiction writer Theodore STURGEON. Nevertheless, our marauder knows how to hide the essence of his borrowings and create original music that can be listened to like reading a novel by an electric Marcel ROUST while enjoying a madeleine in search of lost time. Moreover, between the initial will-o'-the-wisps and terminal gossip whose forum inevitably brings to mind social networks, PASKINEL plays with us as with himself like a juggler watching the world and its escapades.
