Whom Gods Destroy biography
Whom Gods Destroy is a new progressive metal project rising from the ashes of Sons of Apollo, following the 2023 breakup of the supergroup with Mike Portnoy returning to Dream Theater. This new supergroup is in fact headed by two ex-alumni of Sons of Apollo - Derek Sherinian and Rob "Bumblefoot" Thal, with the duo searching for new ground for their fruitful and obviously mutually inspiring collaboration. Their newest musical outlet is a sort of a supergroup again as the two musicians are joined by Dino Jelusick as the lead vocalist of the collective, and Yas Nomura and Bruno Valvere forming the band's rhythm section, respectively responsible for the bass and drumming duties, forming quite the international lineup.

Signed by Inside Out Music, Whom Gods Destroy released their debut studio album (under the title Insanium) in early 2024, to really positive critical reception and obviously getting the necessary attention, which is expected when you have such a fine lineup. This band should be on the radar of fans of Sons of Apollo, Queensrÿche and Dream Theater, as the music is inspired heavily by traditional heavy metal with lots of progressive spins and powerful and very upfront vocals.
