Event Cloak biography
Event Cloak is the Canadian progressive electronic project of Montreal synthesist and self-proclaimed "Berlin School dropout" Nick Maturo, who also records with Ryan Connolly in ambient duo Sundrips. Maturo began releasing music under the moniker in 2011 with the full-length cassette Physical Computing (issued via his and Connolly's label Fadeaway Tapes), eventually leading to three further albums and an EP across the ensuing decade.

The Québécois answer to Emeralds and Pulse Emitter, Event Cloak's sparkling arpeggios, tasteful use of sampling and overall bright atmosphere have been aptly described as "a happy medium" between Steve Hauschildt and Oneohtrix Point Never. Life Strategies, Event Cloak's most popular album, was released on like-minded label Orange Milk Records in 2015, with its co-owner Keith Rankin of Giant Claw providing the appropriately strange cover art.
