Sea State biography
"Sea State" (noun):
The condition of the sea's surface at a particular place and time by reference to wind waves and swell.


Made up of three Columbus, Ohio-based instrumentalists - Zach Koors (synth, bass), Jim Lindroth (mbira), and Dan Seibert (drums, electronics) - Sea State centers their music around grooves affected by freely flowing motifs and improvisations. As these patterns gradually develop, they influence and change the sonic landscape and the perception of it.

In 2020 Sea State released their debut EP, RE: Salt, followed by the experimental ambient tape Music for Aquariums in 2022.
