Elephant Gym biography
On their website, Elephant Gym explains the band name saying that elephant is the bass and Gym is referred to the continuous changes of rhythm in their music.
The band has been started in 2012 by brother and sister Zhang (or Chang, depending on how Chinese is transcribed) Kaixiang on Guitar and Zhang Kaiting (aka KT Chang) on Bass, and Tu Jiaqin, a student of the Reyin Society whom Kaixiang met when he was a student at the High School, on drums.
Between 2013 and 2019 the band was nominated and also awarded a couple of times for the Taiwanese Golden Indie Music Awards.
