Miladojka Youneed biography
Miladojka Youneed (sometimes abbreviated as M.D.Y. or just Miladojka) was an experimental music group formed in 1985 by drummer Dadi Kasnar, saxophonist Mario Marolt and bassist Miroslav Lovrič in what was then the Yugoslav republic of Slovenia. Their constantly evolving style has through the years been labelled under such divergent genre monikers as punk, funk, punk-jazz, jazz-rock, pop-core, acid-metal and sintetic-trash.

The band disbanded in 1998 in a now newly independent Slovenia, after releasing 5 studio albums and one live album. Their music covers a wide range of genres and styles, often with frenetic out-bursts and dissonances, with their sophomore release Ghastly Beyond Belief! being singled out in particular for its quality and idiosyncratic mixture of freaked out avant-jazz-rock combining jazz instrumentation and punk energy with RIO harmonies and progressive rock song structures. Much of the band departed after the death of guitarist Kristijan Cavazza due to an on-set accident, accounting for a major stylistic change around the turn of the decade. Throughout the band's existence, Mario Marolt was its only continuous band member.
