ENPHIN / ex PH (Mr. Peter Hayden) biography
Mr. Peter Hayden was formed in 2000 in small western Finnish town of Kankaanpää by Lauri Kivelä, bass player and mastermind and only constant member since the beginning. There have been a few changes in the line up during the years.

Taking their time, they released a demo CD-R in 2005, debut single in 2006 and first full album in 2010.

They have actively played live around Europe, including Roadburn and Roskilde festivals, and always gained highly positive response from fans and media alike.

Never willing to rest on their laurels, they draw influences from wide variety of sources from traditional doom metal, prog, space and hard rock to experimental electronic and post-you-name-it-music and blend them into their own brand of always developing psychedelic music. They've been compared to Hawkwind and later-era Swans, along to who knows who else.

Having completed a trilogy with their first three albums, they shortened their name to PH, or a monogram/symbol formed of the letters with their fourth album Eternal Hayden in 2017. The band have never told who Mr. Peter Hayden is and how he is or was significant to them. In general, if you look at their official pages or interviews, they're rather secretive about their influences, working processes and such. It's a cliche, but they really let the music speak for themselves.

On April 16, 2021 the band announced the name change again to enPHin aka ENPHIN - and that the band will play few last concerts as "PH" (the last concert under that name was on October 1, 2021) before releasing an album on Pelagic Records under the new name.

They are part of Wastement collective with like-minded compatriot bands such as Dark Buddha Rising and Oranssi Pazuzu and even share members with some of them.
