Centre Piece biography
CENTRE PIECE is a progressive metal solo project of founder Stephen PAPPAS from Youngstown, Ohio. In October of 2018, after he created the solo project, he decided to do a concept album centered around his mother's fight with cancer and his experiences of grief, suffering, addiction and loss over her death and the subsequent restoration of his faith. The result of this was the debut concept album "Lullaby" released in 2020.

Stephen provides the vocals, guitar and bass and is joined by his twin brother Michael PAPPAS on drums and Randy SLAUGH on keyboards, string arrangements and programming. The music is a melodic progressive metal with a djent edge featuring complexity, contrasts of heaviness and gentleness with use of keys and synths accompanying it all.
