John Battema biography
Virginia, USA keyboardist John Battema may be best known for his with the progressive metal band, Ephemeral Sun, he has also composed a considerable amount of electronic music. Largely atmospheric and cinematic, his compositions and use of sequencing also incorporated Berlin School influence, particularly in his earlier works. In addition to recordings, his album Der Golem is written to be performed as a live soundtrack during showings of the silent film of the same name. To this point he has released 5 albums.
