The Basement Paintings biography
A Saskatchewan-based combo The BASEMENT PAINTINGS were founded in the winter of 2011 by Justin THOMPSON (guitar), Paul HILLACRE (guitar), Evan KNOUSE (bass), and Calen MILLER (drums). Soon after their foundation, they started recording material for the full-length debut eponymous album, that was released in March 2013. The following ep "Time Lapse City" recorded in collaboration with Aaron HARRIS was out in March 2014. Their second album "Mystic" won the Top 30 of several college radio stations across Canada, a nomination for Sask Music's "Best Saskatchewan Albums of 2016", Ominocity's "Best New Music of 2016", or Here to Destroy's "Best New Music of 2016". In November 2019 their third album "Antipodes" was released via their Bandcamp page.
