The Invincible Czars biography
INVINCIBLE CZARS is an Eclectic Prog band from Austin, TX founded by guitarist Josh ROBINS in 1998. ROBINS would record music into his four-track recorder that seemed to sound like bits and pieces of soundtrack music and decided to form a band to really make these compositions come to life. He then taught himself how to read music and to write music for instruments that he didn't know how to play. Soon, INVINCIBLE CZARS was born with an ever increasing line-up of musicians who are all utilized as needed for whatever they might be recording or performing.

The band plays traditional rock shows, but also takes part in live, silent movie film showings where they debut their own intricate soundtrack music along with the screening in the theater, or doing holiday events, including a whimsical version of TCHAIKOVSKY's "Nutcracker". Their shows often include amazing musicianship along with magic tricks, silly costumes, and occasional "minor acrobatics".

Their music includes a wide variety of styles that always pays close attention to instrumentation and detail. Those that love cinematic music and progressive music with a lot of variety and originality will love their music which reminds one of the music of SECRET CHIEFS 3 or FANTOMAS, but with a more focused, "track-by-track" compositional style.
