Stefano Agnini biography
Not only LA COSCIENZA DI ZENO keyboardist Stefano Agnini's solo project, IL CERCHIO MEDIANICO is something of a minor prog-rock event, boasting contributions from a `superstar' who's-who line-up of both vintage and modern Italian progressive music notables being members of MUSEO ROSENBACH, HOSTSONATEN, DELIRIUM, IL TEMPIO DELLE CLESSIDRE, LA MASCHERA DI CERA, FABIO ZUFFANTI'S Z-BAND, LA CURVA DI LESMO AND FINISTERRE and of course others from LA COSCIENZA DI ZENO!

The title `Il Cerchio Medianico: Un'Opera prop di Stefano Agnini' (An Opera Prop by Stefano Agnini) itself is a humorous play-on-words, Stefano using the term `prop' as a combination of `pop', `prog' and `opera'! It means that over the course of its twelve pieces and 49 minutes, `Un'Opera...', released on March 10th 2017, proves to be a truly `progressive' blending of adventurous rock, elegant balladry, jazz, RPI, funk, psych, pop, symphonic, classical and theatrical styles, all infused in some way with the canzone d'autore/singer-songwriter tradition, whilst also working in some spoken word moments and even little comical touches. A unique one-off or the start of a new ongoing project? Only time will tell...
