Raison d'�tre is a solo Dark Ambient project of Sweden's Peter Andersson. Formed in 1991, the name of the band was chosen from the title of a book by Carl Gustav Jung, the individuation is the raison d'�tre of the self. This project is one of the earliest and most important projects in the Dark Ambient territory, creating work that is heavy and dense with atmosphere, utilizing drone, chants, and sparse percussion.
