AIMING FOR ENRIKE are a Norwegian instrumental math rock duo consisting of Simen FØLSTAD NILSEN on guitar, and Tobias ØRNES ANDERSEN (LEPROUS, IHSAHN, SHINING) on drums. Their music is fun and explosive, minimalistic yet intricate, and inspired as much by metal and post punk as by jazz, funk and electronic music. Or as one music writer described it; "super intense progressive fuzz pop".

The story behind the band name was that when guitarist FØLSTAD NILSEN heard the Enrique Iglesias song "Tonight (I'm Fucking You)" he thought it the utmost musical nadir, and felt that whatever music they would make in the future it couldn't possibly be worse than, or even as bad as, that song.

In 2012 they released their album debut, "Mao Miro", through the DIY record label Tonehjulet Kräftpest, followed by a self-titled download only EP in 2013, but they didn't break through to a larger audience before being picked as the "Untouched Artist of the Week" by NRK P3, the Norwegian Public Broadcasting Corporation's radio channel for new and popular music, in March 2014.

Word of their music spread from there, and performances at festivals such as by:Larm, Øya and Slottsfjell, and concert openings for acts like MØSTER!, confirmed their reputation as one of Norway's most exciting young bands, as well as live acts, 'cause live is where these guys really excel. On stage, armed with a drum kit, three guitar amps, and a broad selection of pedals and loop boxes, they display a high level of instrumental virtuosity and impressively tight playing, making so much noise you almost forget you're listening to a guitar and drums duo.

In 2016 they released their much anticipated sophomore album, "Segway Nation", followed by their third album, "Las Napalmas", in 2017.
