4 stars Fabio ZUFFANTI is one of the most gifted Italian composers of his generation. A solo debut in 1994 and this 7th album 'Coeur' in Icelandic for a soaring sound like NOSOUND, a captivating winter sound based on electronics, psychedelic post rock, crossover.

'A Different House' chilling, soaring, ambient and haunting intro with Moog, chiseled notes, a solemn air, spectral vocals leering at the fabulous KAUAN; a title written in collaboration with Matteo bringing purity. 'Neve all'Alba' and one of the two long pieces; a captivating spleen serenade with the reverberating crystalline piano and Fabio's radiant voice. The title that stretches on a crescendic coda magnified by the languorous choirs, for a perfect religious progressive feeling. A rise towards the Heavens and one of the most beautiful elegiac titles listened to for a long time. 'Pozzo della Notte' for the sad piece, mid-tempo invasive, leaning on the 70s psyche. Its metronomic with the vocal hammering like the rudimentary drums; cold air that suits the album and the finale with a frippian solo with an enveloping, nostalgic spleen.

'Morire di Pioggia' prolongs the dark wave effect with this languorous title sharpened by a crystalline, reverberating guitar. The Italian voice works as a catalyst for the sinister, solemn, Scandinavian atmosphere. The animal drums and the ambient synth add a layer of eloquence, reminiscent of a VANGELIS from the start. 'Nuova Terra' pure psychedelic piece with the shearing of synth notes, like rain turning into ice. A monolithic soaring oscillation on a post rock tune. 'Hjarta' taken from a poem by Tommaso Labranca, a pale tune, astonishing for the sound perception carried out. Is it melancholic, elegiac or nostalgic or all at once? A sober musical hymn with flute, traditional instruments and mixed for a colorful symphonism. A post-rock ode to SIGUR ROS with cinematic atmospheres on 'Amicalement Votre' making shiver with fear, cold and heat associated. A wink to his friend who left too soon on a solemn numbing melody.

Fabio ZUFFANTI took 5 years to give birth to this album with 'melodies for an icy writing, rainy electronics, snowy psychedelia and large symphonic openings. An album offered for the winter solstice, an intimate, majestic, progressive and contemplative album. Originally for progcensor.
