5 stars A Great Celebration with Outstanding Guests and a Superb Interpretation of Genesis' Classic Double Album The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway

"IT - A 50th Anniversary Celebration of The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway by Genesis" features lead vocals and guitar from Francis Dunnery (It Bites), keyboards from Dave Kerzner (Sound of Contact, In Continuum), drums by Nick D'Virgilio (Big Big Train, Genesis) and Martin Levac (The Musical Box), as well as other musicians such as Fernando Perdomo (Dave Kerzner Band), Billy Sherwood (Yes), Steve Rothery (Marillion), Lee Pomeroy (ELO, It Bites), Dan Hancock (Giraffe), plus additional guest musicians and a symphony orchestra. The album was recorded by Mark Hornsby and Nick D'Virgilio, and arranged and conducted by John Hinchey.

As a Genesis fan, particularly of this album, I can confidently say this record is an excellent rendition of the original 1974 release. It is the best way to commemorate this classic record, which, while not universally loved by Genesis fans, deserves recognition as a true masterpiece. The concept and music may seem straightforward at first, but beneath the surface lie multiple layers of complexity and meaning, making it a remarkable achievement.

This extraordinary release by Dave Kerzner and his deluxe ensemble of guests and collaborators is both faithful to the original and innovative in its reinterpretation. Kerzner reimagines The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway as a symphonic rock soundtrack, transforming its essence into something entirely new yet equally captivating.

The music and sound are truly amazing. The production is astounding, with every detail crafted to perfection, resulting in an experience of pure excellence. Certainly!

IT - A 50th Anniversary Celebration of The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway is not just a tribute; it's a transformative experience. By combining the iconic essence of Genesis' original masterpiece with modern sensibilities and lush orchestration, this release offers something fresh for longtime fans and newcomers alike.

Kerzner and his collaborators have created a rendition that honors the intricacies of the original while daring to reimagine its potential. It's a celebration, a reinterpretation, and a heartfelt homage all at once an absolute must-listen for anyone who cherishes this landmark album.
