4 stars Unbelievable CD. This is the first official release after Kris Myers took over the drumkit. Its the second set of their 4/23/03 show at Trainhopper's in Oklahoma City. This was also Myers first show that they did without a premade setlist. There's so many reasons this is legendary from the obivious birth of a future song "Ocean Billy", to the fact that this is one huge improv sandwhich. This material still stands up with what Umphrey's McGee is doing two years later even after much player improvment. Get this gem!

5 stars One of the finest shows you'll ever hear. In my humble opinion. (By the by - I'm 52, pretty frikkin' old, an' a musician who grew up on Hendrix & the Who.) As many are getting to know, this is a brilliant improvisational band. This was a particularly brilliant show. Mostly instrumental. Their essence is percussion & guitar driven music, and this recording is the one I'lI point interested friends towards. I personally love the live Umphrey's better than the studio at this point in time. Seen 'em twice, just amazing. (Not to discourage y'all from picking up 'Anchor Drops'.)
