4 stars As if taken from real life, virtual fall or new lives for rent. Hell, where are all these inspirations coming from? First and foremost Sean Thompson is known for the production of appraised melodic prog metal oriented albums with his band Odd Logic. But then he suddenly appears with a new side project in 2022, where nothing is in writing. But everything comes appealing again. Once more Thompson is dealing with nearly all instruments, except the percussions. This time in collaboration with drummer Dan Blackson, who so far only appeared as a story editor for one Odd Logic album, what I know. The ten tracks on this collection are produced more in a heavy neo prog vein. Probably the main reason why this finally has not been added to the main discography?

Anyway, no matter, highly prolific and enchanting rock music it is in any case. A somewhat dramatic keyboard drenched intro is fading into the energetic New Life. Sean's lead vocals are from the finest, stellar guitar solos on top. The Last Goodbye features a fantastic second part presented in a proper jamming mood. Surrender? No! Wash it away! Home Again is acting addictive as no other, what a great tune! And then mysterious synths are leading into the instrumental Alien Sky Limits, yet sounding in best Odd Logic tradition. Sooooo much catchy and touching tunes in a row! Repeated listening rounds are recommended. This is coming accompanied by a moderate earthquake at least, 4.5 stars on the Richter scale.
