UNE BELLE JOURNÉE

Nicolas, I've already known his name as one of collaborators for LAMBWOOL actually, and his solo creation "Une Belle Journ'e" drove me crazy. Completely immersed with his magical electro-sound-garden. The first track "Entretoise" gives us massive musical paper chase, unified with plenty pieces of electric tones. As though water ran down with a roaring sound, we would get a shower of electronic parades launched via his synthesized instruments ... yes exactly something like a sound waterfall.

The following "Faer" has a tad depressive, somewhat weird structure. Sounds like we have a ride upon a mysterious, atmospheric merry-go-round, that move round sometimes smoothly and sometimes wildly, via deep, magnificent vibes and movements. Not only this tune but every stuff in this album is constructed with pretty simple music pieces or paragraphs really, but I wonder why such a simple track can give us huge impression. Also as for the last one "Retourn'" (added as a bonus track on the release via Atypeek Music in 2013), featuring more violent electro-shouts than others, tiny but deep sound sphere attacks us again and again.

The masterpiece, let me say. The title track is flooded with heartwarming, dreamy sound paradigm and profound world view along gentle phrase convolutions seasoned with skewed synthesizer shouts. Exactly reminds us of the same vein like Hydrus. Quite delightful and slightly subdued are his electronic whispers until the middle of this track, and the quiet environment shifts gradually to another stage drenched in excessive artificial chorus. Such an architecture at the bottom of this track is very impressive. His creation goes forward, with moving, floating, vibrating, and developing ... and we can enjoy the afterglow even if this track faded away. I'm sure we would not feel so long for over 30 minute one.

It's "a beautiful day" as the title says, and "a beautiful creation" I cannot say but these words. Bravo.
