4 stars The rating doesn't tell the whole story on this disc, so here goes....

It is an excellent introduction to this band, and if you can find it in a record store, as I did, I would suggest the uninitiated snag it. Most of this CD comes from what I consider to be The Enid's classic phase, from their debut "In the Region of the Summer Stars" to their comeback album in the 80s "Something Wicked this Way Comes." Four songs come from their inessential phase, but are still quite good.

For the Enid fan, there are three songs that may make this of interest to you: -A different version of Evensong with a saxophone, giving it a slightly (if that is possible) wistful yet melancholy feel. -A spectacular fake live version of Land of Hope and Glory from 1976. -A new song unique to this compilation, Tears of the Sun, with a slight celtic bent
