4 stars Posted by longtime GE fan. I have most of GE's discography from 1970 on. Waited years for latest release. When it finally hit the shelves I got my copy on day one and nervously hit Play All. As always I need to hear an album several times to absorb the music and let it grow on me. I found I really like the 2nd half of the album better then the first half. After playing it for the past week here is my song by song review. I have it playing in the background as I type this review.

1- IDENTICAL. Pleasing rocker. Upbeat, thumping drum backing. At 3 1/2 minutes its perfect length for a song. I like this song. reminds me of how GE rocked out. 5/5.

2 - LITTLE TIME BOMB. Rocker. Not too challenging. Seems a little to pedestrian. I kept hoping the song would have a better chorus or guitar solo to save it. 3/5.

3 - COOL AS IT GETS. Rocker. I swear its T-REX's Bang a Gong melody in background. Has a retro 70s vibe to it. I like this song. It has a pleasing vocal track, nice guitar solo. Its worth repeat listening. 4/5.

4 - ACROBATS AND CLOWNS. Rocker. Nice vocal, Barry and George sing a duo on the chorus. The guitar is okay. I wanted it to get a little bit wilder but it left me wanting more. 3/5.

5 - WHAT DO I KNOW ABOUT LOVE. Ballad. Nice guitar melody. Lyrics are heartfelt. George's vocals are always so classy and he sings 2 part harmony with Barry on the Chorus. Haunting. 5/5.

6 - STILL GOT THE KEYS TO MY FIRST CADILLAC. Rocker. Yes, this songs kicks ass. Its a throwback to songs about driving on the open highway, wind in your hair. Sounds like the band was having fun with this song. Every instrument and note is awesome and necessary. 5/5.

7 - DOPE RUNNER. Rocker. Its got a mean keyboard, guitar frenetic battle going on. I bet this song takes on a life of its own played live. The one part I don't like is the bongo drums towards the end. Never been a fan and it ads nothing for me. Very listenable though. 4/5.

8 - THIS LOVE. Ballad. I love this song. Its George singing about Killer Love. "This loves a killer, its gonna kill us both". Great melody, great lyrics. And George hits the high note at just the right time. 5/5.

9 - STRATOSPHERE. Rocker. Crank it up, very upbeat and every part meshes again. I have been singing this song in my head. Barry is singing to an old flame and basically tells her that her head has been up her ass for the past 5 years. Classic. 5/5.

10 - OVER THE CLIFF INTO THE DEEP BLUE. Ballad. Another great ballad. These guys can think up some great melody lines. This song only takes one listen to love it. 5/5.

11 - FLOWERS IN THE MUD. Bluesy and nice groove. George comes in a with a straight outta the 70s guitar solo. One of my favorite songs on the album. 5/5

12 - JUSTIN TIME. Rocker. This feels like it would fit right in with the songs from the HOLE in the 80s. Reminded me of the first songs on that album. Groove is very cool. 5/5.

13 - AVENUE OF BROKEN DREAMS. Rocker. Its an okay song. I was hoping this would turn into something better by the bridge or guitar solo. I find I have been skipping this track upon repeated listenings. 3/5

14 - WANTED BY WOMEN. Ballad. George on vocals again. I really like when he takes center mic. Its a song about these guys knowing they were rock sex stars in the past desired by females. But they really wanted the love a girl who never fell for that BS and hence they never hooked up. 5/5.

If you add up the good and great songs its easy to see this is an album to get. I will add at least 9 or 10 of these to songs to my frequent playlist.
